ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Bill has been creating timeless images for over 30 years. He has worked in a variety of venues in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
He has taught photography at the college level, photographed public officials, brides, babies, couples, seniors, families, weddings, architecture, various events, as well as serving commercial clients.
Bill comes from a long line of photographers. His grandfather, C.L. Venard, began his career in Witchita, Kansas, at the age of 14. In 1912 he started a portrait studio in Lincoln, Illinois, where he became well known for his portraits of women. Around 1918 he moved to Peoria, Illinois, where he became the first photographer to do aerial photography of the Peoria area. He was also a pioneer in cinematography, producing films for commercial clients such as Keystone Steel and Wire, Caterpillar Tractor, Future Farmers of America.
Bill's father, William P. Venard, was a portrait and commercial photographer in Peoria in the 1950's and later a staff photographer for the Department of Agriculture, northern regional lab.
Bill is available for portraits in his home studio or on location, as well as weddings, bridal portraits, seniors, event photography, commercial and documentary photography.
